Nicole Croisille

Nicole Croisille was a French singer and actress born on 9 October 1936 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She died on 4 June 2025 in Saint-Cloud from liver cancer at the age of 88.

Croisille began recording in 1961 and went on to release several albums over the course of her career. That same year marked her screen debut, and she ultimately appeared in 24 films between 1961 and 2005. Among her most widely recognized work is her contribution to the soundtrack of Claude Lelouch's 1966 film A Man and a Woman (Un Homme et Une Femme), in which she performed the solo "Today It's You" and joined Pierre Barouh on several additional tracks. Her recording catalog includes well-known titles such as "I'll Never Leave You," "Téléphone-Moi," "Une Femme avec Toi," "J'ai besoin de Toi, J'ai besoin de Lui," and "Parlez-moi de Lui." Her single "Woman in Your Arms" reached number 71 on the Australian charts in May 1976.

In 1974, Croisille sought to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest with the songs "Tu m'avais dit" and "Je t'aime un point c'est tout," though Dani was ultimately selected. France did not participate that year following the death of President Georges Pompidou during the week of the contest.

On the stage, Croisille appeared on Broadway in 1964 in Folies Bergère. Throughout her life she lived with Ménière's disease.
