Nicola Cavendish is an English-born Canadian actress born on November 11, 1952, in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England, who was raised in British Columbia, Canada. She began her acting career in the mid-1970s and has worked across theatre, film, and television.
Cavendish made her Broadway appearance in 1987 in the farce Blithe Spirit. Her stage work has also taken her across Canada in touring productions, including Shirley Valentine and For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again.
On screen, Cavendish earned a Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her work in the 1991 film The Grocer's Wife. She also received a Gemini Award nomination for the 1998 film The Sleep Room. Her other film credits include My American Cousin, Air Bud, and Suddenly Naked.
Her television work spans several decades and includes a role in the 1990 miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's It, as well as appearances on The X-Files, Highlander: The Series, Street Legal, The L Word, Men in Trees, Red Serge, and Virgin River.
