Nicholas Masson

Nicholas James Masson, born August 7, 1996, in Hudson, New Hampshire, is an American actor, dancer, singer, and teacher who was raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He began studying dance at the age of three, first at DancEnergy in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and later at The Dance Company in Amherst, New Hampshire. At ten years old, Masson made his professional theatre debut in a national touring production of the Broadway musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, following which he appeared in a number of local and regional theatrical productions. He graduated from Alvirne High School in 2014 and went on to attend Point Park University in Pittsburgh, where he majored in dance.

Masson's Broadway credit is Newsies The Musical, in which he appeared in 2014. He also performed in the first national tour of Disney Theatrical Productions' Newsies the Musical, taking on the role of Mush and later serving as a replacement in the role of Crutchie. His work with the production extended to the screen as well, as he appeared as Mush in the Disney film adaptation of the stage musical, which received a limited theatrical release in selected movie theatres in 2017.

Beyond performing, Masson has worked as a dance educator, teaching at master classes, workshops, and dance studios. He has served on the dance faculty at Broadway Connection in New York City as a teaching artist.
