About
Natalie Elise Melinda Hall is a Canadian actress born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, whose career spans Broadway, television, and film. Her mother was a ballerina, and Hall grew up alongside two brothers, describing herself as someone who loved both the arts and sports, including playing soccer on an all-boys team. She trained at the London Academy of Ballet, graduating with honors of distinction in dance at age sixteen. Among her early performance milestones, Hall took the leading role in a community theatre production of Annie and earned first place representing British Columbia in a national singing competition.
Hall initially relocated to New York City to pursue her performing career. Her Broadway work spans 1998 to 2008 and includes credits in The Sound of Music and A Chorus Line. She also performed the role of Val in a national touring production of A Chorus Line, a performance that earned her a nomination for an Ovation Award. Hall is a member of the Actors Studio in New York.
On television, Hall made her debut as Colby Chandler on the ABC soap opera All My Children, first appearing on November 25, 2009, having filmed her initial scenes in mid-October of that year before the production relocated to Los Angeles. She remained with the series through its final network broadcast on September 23, 2011. Beginning June 29, 2011, Hall replaced Natalie Floyd in the role of Kate Randall, Hanna's soon-to-be stepsister, on the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars, holding the role through 2012. That same year she played Ellie King née Davis in the four-part Lifetime mini-series Love's Christmas Journey.
In 2013, Hall joined The CW series Star-Crossed as Taylor, a character she described as a risk-taker in love. She appeared in the Lifetime comedy-drama Drop Dead Diva, initially for two episodes before returning for a third. Hall also joined the final season of HBO's True Blood, playing Amber Mills, the newly turned vampire sister of Sarah Newlin, across three episodes. Additional television credits include a guest appearance on USA Network's Royal Pains as Hope, a burlesque dancer seeking medical help, a role in season four of Lifetime's UnREAL, and a recurring part as Lucy in The CW series Charmed. Hall also appeared on the cover of the Canadian fashion magazine Fave.
In film, Hall appeared in the 2017 release Only the Brave alongside Miles Teller, Josh Brolin, and Jeff Bridges. She also performed the song "Better with You" in the film Rising Stars, with a music video for the track subsequently released, and was featured on the song "Free To Fall," which appeared in the same film and its official soundtrack. On December 16, 2012, Hall performed "Hallelujah I Love Her So" by Ray Charles at the It Gets Better Project's "A Better Holiday" concert, benefiting the Ali Forney Center.
In her personal life, Hall married Jack H. Robbins, a U.S. Marine who formerly served on active duty, on July 1, 2017. The couple welcomed their first son in May 2021 and a second son in May 2023.
