Morris Harvey (25 September 1877 – 24 August 1944) was a British actor, composer, and book writer whose career spanned both stage performance and dramatic writing. Born in the nineteenth century, he worked as a character actor and contributed written material to theatrical productions, including revues staged on Broadway.
Harvey's Broadway career extended from 1923 to 1926 and encompassed several notable productions. He appeared in the Charlot Revue and Hammerstein's 9 O'Clock Revue, as well as the revue The Merry World. In addition to performing in Broadway revues, he also wrote material for them, demonstrating a dual role as both a stage presence and a contributor to the written content of productions.
Beyond his theatrical work, Harvey is noted as the stepfather of film director Anthony Harvey.
