About
Molly Jobe is an American actress and singer born in Columbus, Ohio, where she attended Tremont Elementary School and performed in productions at the Columbus Children's Theatre, including Annie and The Sound of Music. In 2001, her family relocated to New York City to support her and her siblings' pursuits in the performing arts. She went on to graduate from the drama department of LaGuardia Arts High School before earning a BFA in musical theater from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 2013, with a minor in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology.
Jobe made her professional and Broadway debut at age nine in A Christmas Carol at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, directed by Mike Ockrent. In 2002, she took on the role of Pepper in Annie at the Paper Mill Playhouse under the direction of Greg Ganakas, and that same year appeared in the television series The Job, playing 2nd Kimberly in the episode titled "Sacrilege."
Following her graduation from NYU, Jobe joined the cast of Newsies at the Nederlander Theater, performing in the ensemble and understudying the role of Katherine in the Jeff Calhoun-directed production. She then became part of the Broadway musical Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theater from 2016 to 2020, where she played Francine, served as a Swing, and understudied the roles of Dawn and Jenna.
When producer Barry Weissler announced a remount of Waitress on May 5, 2021, following Broadway's reopening after the COVID-19 shutdown, Jobe returned to the production at the Ethel Barrymore Theater. In this staging she portrayed Mother as an ensemble member while continuing to understudy Dawn and Jenna, and she also appears as Mother in the filmed recording of the musical.
Beyond the stage, Jobe appeared in the 2021 film Things Heard and Seen and joined the cast of the Netflix miniseries Halston that same year, playing Sassy Johnson opposite Ewan McGregor. She is engaged to actor Alex Mandell.
