Molly Bernard is an American actress whose work spans film, television, and Broadway. She holds a bachelor's degree from Skidmore College and an MFA in acting from Yale School of Drama. She is the granddaughter of actor Joseph Bernard.
Bernard's screen career began in 2000 with the drama Pay It Forward, which starred Kevin Spacey and Haley Joel Osment. Early television work included a recurring role as Angie Sullivan on the series Alpha House. In 2015, she joined the cast of the comedy-drama series Younger, appearing alongside Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff in the role of Lauren Heller. That same year, she appeared in Nancy Meyers's comedy The Intern, a film starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. Bernard also took on the role of Young Shelly in Amazon Prime's Transparent, a part she shared with Judith Light across two seasons of the series.
In 2019, Bernard appeared in Otherhood, a comedy film directed by Cindy Chupack. She subsequently joined the NBC drama Chicago Med, portraying medical student Dr. Elsa Curry in seasons four and five of the series. In 2024, Bernard made her Broadway debut in Cult of Love.
Bernard announced her engagement to Hannah Lieberman on Instagram on January 14, 2020. The two were married on September 23, 2021, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, with Younger cast members Nico Tortorella and Hilary Duff among those in attendance. Bernard announced her pregnancy on Instagram in November 2022, and her daughter was born on January 28, 2023.
