Minnette Barrett was an American actress born on March 25, 1880, in Gainesville, Florida, who died on June 20, 1964. Her stage career spanned from 1907 to 1952 on Broadway, and she also worked extensively in vaudeville and appeared in a small number of films.
Barrett's vaudeville work brought her into collaboration with Joe Jefferson Jr. and Florence Nash. Her stage appearances included a range of productions across several decades, among them Mr. Buttles in 1910, Mother in 1910 in which she played Ardath Wetherill, the 1912 playlet In 1999, Salvation Nell in 1915, and The Ragamuffin in 1916.
Her Broadway credits encompassed both plays and musicals. She appeared in The Bat in its 1920 production as well as its 1937 revival, Lovely Lady in 1925, The Show Off, the musical Lola from Berlin, The Primrose Path, and Mrs. McThing in 1953. She also took part in the 1952 revival of Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under the Elms.
During World War II, Barrett led the American Theatre Wing's war bonds drive.
