Mimi Lieber is an American actress and choreographer born on March 1, 1956, in Venice, California. Her career has spanned theater, film, and television, with principal roles across all three mediums.
Lieber's Broadway work extends from 1990 to 2017 and includes five productions: I'm Not Rappaport (2002), The Heidi Chronicles, Brooklyn Boy (2005), Act One (2014), and Indecent (2017). Her connection to The Heidi Chronicles dates to 1991, when she performed in the production at The Kennedy Center under the direction of Daniel J. Sullivan, whom she later married.
Beyond performing, Lieber has worked as a choreographer in the theater. She choreographed The Public Theater's production of Twelfth Night in 2009 and created the final wedding dance for As You Like It in 2012, both of which were directed by Sullivan and staged at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.
Her television credits include two notable guest appearances in prominent 1990s sitcoms. She portrayed Mary Therese, one of Joey Tribbiani's sisters, in the Friends episode "The One Where Chandler Can't Remember Which Sister," and played the psychic character Rula in the Seinfeld episode "The Suicide."
