About
Michael Forrest (July 1932 – 21 December 2004) was a Welsh actor whose career spanned stage, television, and film. Born in Wales, he pursued formal theatrical training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London before establishing himself as a working performer on both sides of the Atlantic.
Forrest made his Broadway appearance in 1960, taking part in a production of The Hostage. The engagement placed him among the performers bringing the work to New York audiences during that year.
The bulk of Forrest's career unfolded on British television and in film. He accumulated credits across a wide range of British series, among them Sir Francis Drake, Z-Cars, Danger Man, The Saint, and The Avengers. His television work continued with appearances in UFO, Doomwatch, The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes, and Off to Philadelphia in the Morning. On the film side, his credits included Who Dares Wins and Armour of God.
Forrest died on 21 December 2004.
