About

Meg Myles, born Billie Jean Jones on November 14, 1934, in Seattle, Washington, was an American actress, singer, and pin-up model whose career spanned stage, film, and television across several decades. She died on November 12, 2019, at the age of 84, and was included on the Tony Awards' "In Memoriam 2020" list.

Myles built an early public profile as a model in men's magazines, where she was known for her reported measurements of 42-24-36. Her screen work in the 1950s included a featured role in the musical film Calypso Heat Wave, a short but notable appearance in the film noir The Phenix City Story (1955), and an uncredited role as a singer at a talent agency in the theatrical release of Dragnet, opposite Jack Webb. Her most prominent film role came as the lead in Satan in High Heels, and her final film appearance was in Delinquent (1995).

On Broadway, Myles appeared in Enter Laughing in 1963. Her stage career ran alongside an extensive body of television work, particularly in daytime drama. In 1966 she portrayed possessive mother Harriett Wilson on the soap opera The Doctors, and in 1970 she appeared on Where the Heart Is. During the 1980s she was a regular on The Edge of Night, playing restaurant owner Sid Brennan, and took on a year-long role on All My Children as Joanna Yeager, Stuart Chandler's secret wife. She also appeared on Search for Tomorrow as Maevis Stone, the mother of heroine Evie Stone, before returning to All My Children in the spring of 1987, when her character Joanna came back to Pine Valley to extort money from Adam Chandler and hold Erica Kane hostage.
