Mary Michael Patterson is an American actress and singer who has worked on Broadway from 1988 to 2011. A native of Aledo, Texas, a suburb located west of Fort Worth, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan. She is married to Broadway dancer Cary Tedder.
Patterson began her professional career in regional theater before transitioning to Broadway. Her Broadway debut came with the 2011 revival of Anything Goes, in which she served as the understudy for the role of Hope. She subsequently joined the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera, initially performing as the alternate Christine Daaé. In September 2014, following Sierra Boggess's departure from the production, Patterson assumed the principal role of Christine Daaé.
Her work with the Phantom franchise continued beyond Broadway when she joined the United States touring company of Love Never Dies, the sequel musical, in the role of Meg Giry. That tour ran from September 2017 through December 2018.
