About

Mary Cadorette is an American actress born on March 31, 1957, in East Hartford, Connecticut. She earned a BFA in Dramatic Arts and Theater from the University of Connecticut in 1979. Before her professional career took shape, Cadorette won the Miss Dance of America title in 1974 and represented Connecticut in the 1976 Miss America Pageant.

Cadorette's Broadway career centered on the long-running musical 42nd Street, where she spent three and a half years as an understudy for the lead role of Peggy Sawyer before eventually taking over the part. Her work in the production began in 1980. She also performed in multiple dinner theatres through the USO.

Her most prominent television role came in 1984, when she was cast as Vicky Bradford, a flight attendant and live-in girlfriend to Jack Tripper, played by John Ritter, on the Three's Company spin-off Three's a Crowd. More than 500 women auditioned for the role, and Ritter's connection with Cadorette during the audition process led to her being selected. She first appeared as Vicky in the Three's Company episode "Cupid Works Overtime" and made two additional appearances on that series before Three's a Crowd launched. The spin-off ran for one season. In 1990, Cadorette joined the cast of Night Court in the recurring role of Margaret Turner. Her film credits include Stewardess School and The Rat Pack. During the 1980s she also appeared on game shows including The $25,000 Pyramid, Super Password, and Body Language.

In 1999, Cadorette relocated from California back to Connecticut to care for her mother following a stroke. Her mother died eight years later. Cadorette continued performing in regional theater, including a 2011 production of Our Town at Connecticut Repertory Theatre, where she played Mrs. Gibbs. She also pursued directorial and choreographic work, staging productions of Hairspray and 42nd Street at Glastonbury High School in 2011 and 2012 respectively, the latter incorporating original Gower Champion choreography. Additional directorial credits at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts include Hairspray in 2013, A Day in Hollywood / A Night in the Ukraine in 2014, and West Side Story in 2016.

Cadorette co-founded the Chapeau Rouge Dance Project alongside two friends she had known since childhood dance school, creating a program that invited former and retired dance students to return to classes. In 2014, she opened an antique store called Nug and Bug Antique Collectibles in Marlborough, Connecticut. She was previously married to Michael Eisen and later to William Harris, who died on October 15, 2010. On November 1, 2015, she married Michael Daly, her childhood sweetheart.
