Martine Sarcey was a French actress born on 28 September 1928 who worked across stage, film, and television throughout her career. She died on 11 June 2010.
Sarcey made her Broadway appearance in 1958, performing in Britannicus. Her stage work extended beyond Broadway to encompass French theatrical productions throughout her career.
Her film work spanned more than five decades, beginning with Matrimonial Agency in 1952. During the 1960s she appeared in Méfiez-vous, mesdames (1963), The Thief of Paris (1966), and The Private Lesson (1968). The following decade brought further screen credits, including Rendezvous at Bray (1971), Un linceul n'a pas de poches (1974), Clérambard (1976), À nous les petites Anglaises (1976), Parisian Life (1977), and Holiday Hotel (1978). Sarcey continued working into the 1980s with Two Lions in the Sun (1980) and Profs (1985), and her screen career extended into the 2000s with The Light (2004).
