Martha Gehman, born in 1955, is an American actress and acting coach whose career has spanned stage, film, and television. The daughter of actress Estelle Parsons and writer Richard Gehman, she has a twin sister named Abbie, and her nephew is football player Eben Britton.
Gehman made her Broadway appearance in 1980 in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Her stage work has continued beyond performance into institutional leadership, as she serves as a co-artistic director of the Actors Studio in New York.
Her film career includes a notable role as Ophelia in the 1985 cult classic The Legend of Billie Jean. She also appeared in supporting capacities in The Flamingo Kid, F/X, Threesome, and A Kiss Before Dying.
