Mark Shera is an American actor born on July 10, 1949, in Bayonne, New Jersey, whose career has spanned stage, film, and television.
Shera made his Broadway debut in 1972, appearing in Godspell. His stage work preceded a transition into screen acting that would define much of his professional career.
On television, Shera joined the cast of the action series S.W.A.T. between 1975 and 1976, portraying Officer Dominic Luca. He subsequently took on the recurring role of J.R. in Barnaby Jones, a part he held from 1976 through 1980.
