About
Mark Morettini is an American actor born on October 24, 1962, in Providence, Rhode Island, who was raised in East Providence. He began his involvement in theater during college and subsequently relocated to Chicago to pursue his career, taking on roles in stage productions and films before eventually settling in New York City.
Morettini is perhaps most widely recognized for his television work, particularly his portrayal of Correctional Officer Rizzo Green on the series Prison Break. His screen career has also included film roles developed during his time working in Chicago.
On the stage, Morettini built a substantial body of work spanning both touring productions and Broadway. He spent two seasons on tour in Twelve Angry Men alongside George Wendt and Richard Thomas, playing Juror #7. His Broadway career ran from 2006 to 2010 and encompassed three productions: A View From the Bridge, the musical Pal Joey, and Twelve Angry Men.
Outside of his professional life, Morettini is the father of three children. He resides in New York City with his wife, Megan Schneid Morettini, and at one point previously lived in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
