Marina Eglevsky

Marina Eglevsky is an American ballet dancer and Broadway performer born in New York City. She is the daughter of ballet star Andre Eglevsky and ballerina Leda Anchutina Eglevsky. Her classical training began at home under the instruction of her parents, and she also studied with legendary figures including George Balanchine and choreographer Michel Fokine. She furthered her formal education at the School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre School.

Eglevsky began her professional performance career at a young age, appearing in New York City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker and with the Eglevsky Ballet Company, as well as in guest engagements with various companies. At fifteen, she joined the Harkness Ballet Company, marking the formal launch of her dance career. She subsequently rose to the rank of principal dancer with both the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Hamburg Ballet.

Throughout her career, Eglevsky performed alongside notable figures in dance, including Mikhail Baryshnikov, Lawrence Rhodes, Helgi Tomasson, and skater John Curry. She also appeared as a guest artist with a range of companies and engagements beyond her principal positions.

In 1980, Eglevsky brought her dance background to Broadway as a featured artist in the revival production of Brigadoon, directed by Vivian Matalon and Agnes de Mille.
