Marie Shotwell (March 21, 1880 – September 18, 1934) was an American actress whose career spanned both the stage and screen. She made her Broadway appearance in 1897, performing in The First Gentleman.

Shotwell entered motion pictures in 1915, taking on roles in God's Witness, The Taming of Mary, Under Southern Skies, and The Tale of the C. Her film work continued through the following decade, with one notable credit being Sally of the Sawdust (1925), in which she appeared alongside W.C. Fields. Her final screen appearances came in 1927, with parts in Running Wild and One Woman To Another.

In her personal life, Shotwell was married to William G. Austin, a former police chief of Savannah, Georgia. The marriage ended in divorce in 1916. In 1922, she took on the role of executrix for the estate of Marie J. Pearson, a New York City public school teacher and personal friend. That same year, Shotwell was sued by an undertaker seeking $245 to cover Pearson's burial expenses.

Shotwell died on September 18, 1934, at the age of fifty-four, from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was stricken while working at the Astoria, New York Film Studios, where she had been employed on the George M. Cohan film Gambling at the time of her death.
