About
Margo Seibert, born July 21, 1984, is an American actress and singer whose stage work spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theater. She is the daughter of Debbie (née Sykes) and Willis Seibert and has one sister. Seibert graduated from Glenelg High School in 2002 and went on to earn a degree in international relations from American University in 2005, where she was also involved in theater.
Before reaching Broadway, Seibert built her stage credentials in New York's Off-Broadway scene. She received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical in 2014 for her portrayal of Tamar in the Off-Broadway musical Tamar of the River, written by Marisa Michelson and Joshua H. Cohen and produced by the Prospect Theatre Company.
Seibert made her Broadway debut originating the role of Adrian Pennino in the musical adaptation of Rocky, a character previously portrayed in the films by Talia Shire. Her second Broadway credit came when she joined the original cast of In Transit, an a cappella musical in which she played Jane. The production opened on December 11, 2016.
Beyond Broadway, Seibert took on the role of Tock in a musical adaptation of The Phantom Tollbooth at the Kennedy Center. In May 2015, she played Danielle in Ever After, a musical based on the 1998 film, which opened at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey. In 2019, she played Jessica in the Off-Broadway musical Octet, also performed entirely a cappella in a chamber choir style; the production released a live cast album on November 15, 2019.
Seibert's work extends into audio and recording. On February 9, 2017, she performed the 1933 song "Deep Purple" alongside pianist Michael Kanan for a horror episode of the fiction podcast anthology series The Truth, titled "A Drop in the Ocean." In October 2018, she released her debut album, 77th Street.
Her television appearances include a role in the Boardwalk Empire episode "Blue Bell Boy" in 2012, Elementary in 2016, Dope Crash in 2017, and both Instinct and The Good Cop in 2018.
