Marcia Harris was an American actress born on February 14, 1868, in Providence, Rhode Island, who built a career spanning stage and screen over several decades. She died on June 18, 1947, in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Before establishing herself as a professional performer, Harris gained early theatrical experience through amateur work with the Chelsea Club, a theatrical organization based in Boston, where she took on primarily male lead roles.
Harris appeared on Broadway between 1913 and 1923. Her Broadway credits included the musical All Aboard in 1913, the plays Rich Man, Poor Man in 1916 and What Happened to Jones in 1917, and the play The Adding Machine in 1923. Beyond Broadway, her stage work included the 1911 musical production Alma, Where Do You Live?
In addition to her stage career, Harris was active in film, appearing in 48 productions between 1915 and 1932.
