Malcolm Hope Terris (11 January 1941 – 6 June 2020) was an English actor whose career spanned stage, film, and television across several decades. Before pursuing acting, Terris worked as a trainee reporter at the Sunderland Echo in 1958, prior to enrolling in drama school.

Terris made his Broadway debut in 1969, appearing in a production of Hamlet. His stage work extended to international audiences throughout his career.

On British television, Terris became widely recognized for his recurring role as Matt Headley in the popular 1970s series When the Boat Comes In. He appeared in four episodes of the miniseries Reilly, Ace of Spies in 1983, and took on a regular role as Eric Firman in Coronation Street during the mid-1990s. His television credits also include a 1974 episode of Rooms, the Doctor Who serial "The Horns of Nimon" during the show's seventeenth season in 1979–80, and the series Rockliffe's Babies, which ran from 1986 to 1988. In April 2011, he appeared as Len Merryman in an episode of Midsomer Murders.

Terris accumulated a substantial body of film work beginning in the 1970s. His screen appearances include Special Branch (1973), The First Great Train Robbery (1978), McVicar (1980), the animated feature The Plague Dogs (1982), in which he contributed voice work, Slayground (1983), and The Bounty (1984), where he portrayed Thomas Huggan, the ship's surgeon. He went on to appear in Mata Hari (1985), Revolution (1985), Scandal (1989), Chaplin (1992), and Mike Bassett: England Manager (2001).
