Mabel Colcord was an American actress born in San Francisco on August 13, 1873, whose career spanned both stage and screen across several decades.
Colcord maintained a Broadway presence from 1915 to 1932, appearing in a range of productions during that period. Her stage credits included Baby, Common Clay, A Distant Drum, The Woman on the Jury, and The Uninvited Guest, among others.
Alongside her theatrical work, Colcord built a substantial film career, appearing in more than 30 pictures. She was most active on screen during the 1930s, and her work in that decade included Little Women (1933), David Copperfield (1935), and The Great O'Malley (1937). Her film roles were predominantly minor or uncredited parts, frequently cast as older women in supporting capacities such as aunts, cooks, maids, and neighbors.
Colcord died on June 6, 1952, in Los Angeles at the age of 78.
