Lucinda Jenney is an American actress born in New York, New York. She is married to actor Bill Moseley and was previously married to artist John Swanger from 1989 to 1991.
Jenney made her Broadway debut in 1977 in Gemini. Her screen career began in 1979 with the film Impostors, and throughout the 1980s she accumulated a range of film credits, including the 1986 comedy The Whoopee Boys and Peggy Sue Got Married, the latter starring Kathleen Turner and Nicolas Cage. She also appeared as Iris in Rain Man, which featured Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.
The early 1990s brought some of Jenney's most recognized film work. In 1991 she portrayed the waitress Lena in Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise, and the following year her performance in American Heart earned her an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female. She played Anne Loomis in Joe Dante's comedy Matinee alongside John Goodman and Cathy Moriarty. Smaller supporting roles during the decade included Mr. Jones with Richard Gere, Leaving Las Vegas with Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue, and Grace of My Heart. In 1996 she appeared in Tom Holland's horror film Thinner, based on the Stephen King novel.
The latter half of the decade saw Jenney in a succession of studio productions. She played Lieutenant Blondell in G.I. Jane with Demi Moore and appeared in Mad City, Desert Blue, Practical Magic, and The Deep End of the Ocean. In 2000 she portrayed Helen O'Donnell in Thirteen Days and played Trina in How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog. Subsequent film credits included Crazy/Beautiful with Kirsten Dunst, The Mothman Prophecies with Richard Gere, S.W.A.T., American Violet, Rogue River, and a cameo in The Hangover in 2009.
Jenney's television work spans numerous series, including guest appearances on Miami Vice, The Practice, Judging Amy, The West Wing, 24, Law & Order and its spin-offs Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: LA, Crossing Jordan, Six Feet Under, House, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, Monk, and Battlestar Galactica. Her television film credits include Out of the Darkness with Martin Sheen, Shoot First: A Cop's Vengeance, The Habitation of Dragons, A Stranger in Town, First Time Felon, the Emmy Award-winning If These Walls Could Talk 2, and The Pennsylvania Miners' Story.
