Lucienne Le Marchand was a Belgian actress born on 15 November 1908 who worked across stage, film, and television throughout a career spanning several decades. She died on 9 February 1992.
Le Marchand established herself as a film presence beginning in the 1930s, appearing in a succession of French-language productions. Her screen credits from that decade include Song of Farewell (1934), Crime and Punishment (1935), The Mysteries of Paris (1935), Beautiful Days (1935), Yoshiwara (1937), and The Corsican Brothers (1939). She continued working in film into the 1940s and 1950s, with appearances in Tobias Is an Angel (1940), Fantômas (1946), Judicial Error (1948), The Unexpected Voyager (1950), Extravagant Theodora (1950), The Case of Doctor Galloy (1951), The Red Head (1952), and The Drunkard (1953). Decades later she appeared alongside Alain Delon in Mr. Klein (1976).
Alongside her screen work, Le Marchand pursued a stage career that brought her to Broadway, where she performed between 1958 and 1968. Her Broadway credits included productions of Tartuffe, Lorenzaccio, and Le Cid.
