About
Louis Natheaux, born Louis F. Natho on December 10, 1894, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was an American performer who worked across vaudeville, theater, and film. His mother, Anna Louise Natho, was a physician, and his father was William L. Natho. He adopted the surname Natheaux professionally.
Before establishing himself in film, Natheaux built his stage career through vaudeville and a Chautauqua play. In 1917, he appeared on Broadway in the musical Canary Cottage, marking his presence in New York theater.
Natheaux went on to become a prolific film actor, accumulating credits in more than eighty films between 1919 and 1942. He was survived by his wife, Neva Patricia Natho, and their daughter. He died at his home in Los Angeles on August 23, 1942.
