Lorin Latarro

Lorin Latarro is an actor, dancer, choreographer, and theater director whose career has spanned Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, and major dance companies. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from the Juilliard School in 1997 and later completed a Master of Arts degree from NYU.

Before establishing herself on Broadway, Latarro performed with the Martha Graham Dance Company, MOMIX, and Twyla Tharp. Her Broadway debut came in 1999 as a replacement in the ensemble of the revival of Kiss Me, Kate. Her Broadway performing career continued through 2011 and included productions such as On the Twentieth Century, A Chorus Line, Man of La Mancha, The Apple Tree, and Wonderful Town.

As a choreographer, Latarro has received nominations from the Drama Desk Awards, the Lucille Lortel Awards, the Outer Critics Circle Awards, and the Chita Rivera Awards, including a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Choreography in 2024. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Juilliard and holds a position on the Artists Council at Bucks County Playhouse.

In 2013 and 2014, Latarro founded Artists Against Gun Violence, an organization that produced works of protest art. On a personal level, she married neurosurgeon Dr. Brian Harris Kopell in June 2015, and the couple has a daughter named Arden.
