Lois Foraker

Lois Foraker is an American actress whose work spans film, stage, and television. She was a member of the original Broadway cast of Godspell, a credit the verified database places within her Broadway activity from 1972 to 1976.

Foraker's screen career began in the early 1970s with uncredited and supporting film roles. She appeared as Hot Mary in Dirty Harry (1971), followed by The Candidate (1972), in which she played a character billed as Large Girl. Subsequent film work included The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder (1974), The Four Deuces (1975), and Getting Wasted (1980). Later film credits include Gremlins (1984), in which she played a bank teller, The Exorcist III (1990) as Nurse Merrin, Child's Play 3 (1991) as Sgt. Frazier, and Radio Flyer (1992) as Aunt.

Her television work has been extensive. Foraker appeared in M*A*S*H from 1976 to 1978 and returned to that universe in the spinoff After MASH in 1983. She had recurring appearances on St. Elsewhere between 1986 and 1987, and her episode of Murder, She Wrote aired in both 1984 and 1988. Additional television credits include Hart to Hart (1984), Night Court (1990), the pilot episode of Northern Exposure (1990), 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996), The X-Files (1999), and The West Wing (2001). She also appeared in the television movie My Boyfriend's Back (1989) and the series Rachel Gunn, R.N. (1992), The Larry Sanders Show (1995), and Untamed Love (1994).
