About
Lloyd Kramer is an American performer and filmmaker whose career has spanned both Broadway and television. He appeared on Broadway during the 1969–1970 season, accumulating credits in two productions during that period.
His Broadway work includes Child's Play and Butterflies Are Free, both of which were part of his stage activity in those years.
Kramer subsequently built a career as a director of made-for-television films and documentary projects. His television directing credits include Nine, a documentary from 1992, and an episode of ABC Afterschool Specials in 1993 titled "Girlfriend." In 1997 he directed Before Women Had Wings, followed by David and Lisa in 1998. He directed All-American Girl: The Mary Kay Letourneau Story in 2000 and Amy & Isabelle in 2001. His 2002 project Report from Ground Zero was followed by The Five People You Meet in Heaven in 2004, an adaptation for which he became particularly recognized. Kramer directed Oprah Winfrey Presents: Mitch Albom's For One More Day in 2007. In 2011 he directed and produced four episodes of America in Primetime, and in 2012 he directed Liz & Dick.
