A graduate of the University of Toronto (1947), he acted with the Stratford Festival of Canada from 1953 to 1959, taking on roles including Horatio in "Hamlet," Orsino in "Twelfth Night," and Vincentio in "Measure for Measure." His television credits include Nicholas Lacey in "One Man's Family" (1952), Neil Campbell in "Hong Kong" (1960's), and Cecil Colby in "Dynasty" (1981-82). Among his film credits: "The Detective," "Tony Rome," "Point Blank," "Ulzana's Raid," "The Man in the Glass Booth," "The Naked Gun 2½:" and "The Commission."
