About
Lisa Rieffel is an American actress, singer, and musician born on January 12, 1975, in Denville, New Jersey. She began her performing career as a child, appearing on Broadway in 1986 and at The Kennedy Center in Raggedy Ann: The Musical Adventure.
Rieffel built an extensive television résumé as a series regular on multiple programs, including The Thorns, Ann Jillian, The Trials of Rosie O'Neill, Women of the House, and the fifth season of Empty Nest. In 1998, she was an original cast member of The King of Queens, appearing in five of the sitcom's first six episodes during its debut season. Her additional television appearances span The Cosby Show, Blossom, Roseanne, Married... with Children, Party of Five, The Pretender, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Brotherly Love, and NCIS. Her film work includes Forget Paris (1995) and Drowning Mona (2000). In 2003, she co-wrote and recorded a song called "So Pretty" for Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, though the track was not included on the film's soundtrack album.
In 2007, Rieffel starred in the web series Girltrash!, created by Angela Robinson and distributed in 11 weekly installments through OurChart.com. The series co-starred Margaret Cho, Rose Rollins, Michelle Lombardo, Riki Lindhome, Jimmi Simpson, Mandy Musgrave, and Gabrielle Christian. A feature film continuation, Girltrash: All Night Long, began production in December 2009 and was released in January 2014, with Rieffel's band Killola writing and producing the original songs for its musical numbers.
Rieffel is a founding member and lead singer of the Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Killola, which released three studio albums — Louder, Louder! (2006), I Am the Messer (2008), and Let's Get Associated (2010) — along with a live DVD/CD, Killola: Live in Hollywood (2007). In 2019, she formed the band H. Kink with former Killola member and actor Timm Sharp, releasing the album Wish I Were Here that same year. Sharp subsequently left the project, and Rieffel continued releasing music under the H. Kink name before Sharp rejoined for a second album, Karate, in 2023. In 2025, Rieffel began releasing music under a new solo project called Fur Trapper.
Rieffel is married to Killola bassist Johnny Dunn. The couple have a daughter, Jolee Rose, born in December 2011, who gained viral attention in May 2020 for an original song she wrote.
