Lincoln J. Plumer was an American actor born on September 28, 1875, in Maryland, who built a career spanning both the Broadway stage and silent film. He married actress Rose Plumer on January 1, 1896.
Plumer's Broadway career extended from 1910 to 1919 and encompassed both plays and musicals. His stage credits included the plays The Unknown Woman, Keep Her Smiling, The Little Spitfire, and Captain Kidd, Jr., as well as the musical The Red Widow.
Alongside his theatrical work, Plumer established a presence in silent film. His screen appearances began with The Floor Below in 1918 and continued through the following decade. Among his film credits were The Deep Purple, The Girl in the Taxi, Her Face Value, See My Lawyer, and The Ten Dollar Raise, all from 1920 and 1921. He continued working steadily through the early and mid-1920s in productions including The Barnstormer, Confidence, Within the Law, Fools Highway, Hold Your Breath, and A Regular Fellow. His later film work included When the Wife's Away, Now I'll Tell One, The Tired Business Man, Baby Brother, Backstage, Down the Stretch, Alias the Deacon, Playin' Hookey, The Masked Angel, and The Bullet Mark.
Plumer died of heart disease on February 14, 1928, in Hollywood, California.
