About
Leopold Badia (1905–1976) was a Spanish-born American actor who worked in both theater and film. A native of Seville, Spain, he built a career on the Broadway stage that spanned nearly three decades, from 1927 to 1956.
Among his Broadway credits was the 1928 production of Machinal, a play written by Sophie Treadwell. He also appeared in Cyrano de Bergerac, the comedy Sixth Finger in a Five Finger Glove, The Gentleman From Athens, and Speak Easy, along with other productions during his long tenure on the New York stage.
Beyond the theater, Badia appeared in film. He had a role in The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight, a 1971 movie directed by James Goldstone.
