Lee Meredith

Lee Meredith, born Judith Lee Sauls on October 22, 1947, in River Edge, New Jersey, is an American actress whose career has spanned film, television, and Broadway. She grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and at the age of 15 joined the Manhattan Rockets precision dance team. After completing high school, she pursued modeling and enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is married to film producer Bert Stratford.

Meredith is most widely recognized for playing Ulla, the Swedish secretary, in the original 1967 film version of The Producers. In 2002, she participated in the 35th-anniversary DVD edition of the film, contributing an interview and recreating her dance from the original production.

Her Broadway career ran from 1969 to 1980 and included both plays and musicals. She appeared as a nurse in a sketch in the original Broadway production of The Sunshine Boys in 1972, a role she reprised in the 1975 film adaptation starring Walter Matthau and George Burns. Her additional Broadway credits include the play Once in a Lifetime, A Teaspoon Every Four Hours, and the musical Musical Chairs.

Beyond stage and film, Meredith appeared in 1973 as Reginald Van Gleason's object of desire in Jackie Gleason's first comeback special, which aired on CBS. In 1975, she was a guest on Match Game 75 for one week of episodes. During the 1980s, she appeared alongside writer Mickey Spillane in a series of Miller Lite beer commercials.
