Laura Dreyfuss

Laura Catherine Dreyfuss, born August 22, 1988, is an American actress and singer from New Jersey. She holds a BFA in musical theatre from the Boston Conservatory and has built a career spanning Broadway, television, and recording.

Dreyfuss made her Broadway debut in the revival of Hair, where she performed as a member of the ensemble. She subsequently joined the cast of Once, first as a stand-by before stepping into the principal role of Girl as a replacement. Her Broadway work continued through 2016, culminating in her most prominent stage role to date.

Prior to its Broadway opening, Dreyfuss originated the role of Zoe Murphy — the love interest of the title character — in Dear Evan Hansen at Arena Stage and again at Second Stage Theatre. She carried the role to Broadway, where she remained with the production until July 15, 2018, with the departure announced the day prior. Zoe Murphy, the sister of a classmate of Evan Hansen, became the role most closely associated with Dreyfuss on stage.

Beyond Broadway, Dreyfuss portrayed Madison McCarthy on the FOX musical series Glee. Following her exit from Dear Evan Hansen, she joined the cast of the Netflix series The Politician as a series regular, playing McAfee Westbrook. The show was created by Ryan Murphy, and her Dear Evan Hansen co-star Ben Platt also appeared in the series. On July 26, 2018, Dreyfuss released her debut single, "Be Great," under the recording name Loladre.
