Kristin Griffith

Kristin Griffith is an American actress born on September 7, 1953, in Odessa, Texas. Her career has encompassed Broadway, film, and television across several decades.

Griffith's Broadway work ran from 1976 to 1991 and included three productions: Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, A Texas Trilogy: The Oldest Living Graduate, and A Texas Trilogy: Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander.

Her film career gained early attention with a role in Woody Allen's Interiors (1978), in which she played Flyn, followed by James Ivory's The Europeans (1979), where she portrayed Lizzie Acton. She later appeared in Steven Soderbergh's King of the Hill (1993) as Mrs. McShane. In 2025, Griffith received the Best Actress Award at the Prague Independent Film Festival for her work in the drama film The Reckoning.

Television has formed a substantial part of Griffith's output. She appeared in the Law & Order franchise across multiple series and episodes, including the original Law & Order in the episodes "Seed" (1995) and "All My Children" (2001), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Runaway" (2001), and Law & Order: Criminal Intent in "Want" (2004). Additional television credits include Succession, in which she played Mrs. Wambsgans in the episodes "Pre Nupital" and "Nobody Is Ever Missing" (2018), The Deuce (2019) as Phyllis Lang, and Archive 81 (2022) as Cassandra Wall. Earlier television appearances include a 1981 episode of CHiPs, the 1991 TV movie In the Line of Duty: Manhunt in the Dakotas, and the 2008 New Amsterdam pilot.
