Kevin Daniels

Kevin Dwight Daniels Jr. was born on December 9, 1976, in San Diego, California. He trained at the Juilliard School as part of the Drama Division's Group 27, completing the program between 1994 and 1998. His professional career spans film, television, and stage, encompassing more than 20 productions.

Daniels made his screen debut in 1998 with a supporting role in the film Twelfth Night, or What You Will, directed by Nicholas Hytner. He went on to appear in Hollywood Homicide and took on the role of Don Miller, a Baltimore City firefighter, in the film Ladder 49. His television work includes appearances on Law & Order, Frasier, Chuck, House, and Modern Family, where he recurred as the character Longinus. He also starred in the USA network series Sirens, playing Hank St. Clare, a Chicago EMT.

On Broadway, Daniels appeared in the comedy Twelfth Night and in the 2012 play Magic/Bird, in which he played the lead role of Magic Johnson. His Broadway career spans the years 1998 to 2012.

In 2023, Daniels joined the ABC police procedural series Will Trent in the recurring role of Detective Franklin Wilks. In August 2025, he was promoted to series regular for the show's fourth season. Daniels is openly gay.
