Kerry O'Malley

Kerry O'Malley is an American actress born on September 5, 1969, in Nashua, New Hampshire. She is the sister of actor Mike O'Malley and holds degrees from Duke University and the American Repertory Theatre Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University.

O'Malley's stage career spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theater. Her Broadway work, active from 1993 to 2011, includes productions such as Irving Berlin's White Christmas, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Into the Woods, and Cyrano. Her most recognized Broadway credit is the role of Baker's Wife in the 2002 revival of Into the Woods, which earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. Earlier in her stage career, her performance in Elmer Gantry at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago brought her a 1998 Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Best Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical.

O'Malley made her film debut in the 1998 crime drama Rounders and subsequently appeared in The Happening (2008), Case 39 (2009), Side Effects (2013), Earth to Echo (2014), Annabelle (2014), Terminator Genisys (2015), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). In 2023 she appeared in David Fincher's action thriller The Killer, and in 2024 she appeared in Tyler Perry's thriller Mea Culpa.

Her television work includes regular roles on the sitcoms Costello (1998) and The Mike O'Malley Show (1999), the latter of which she shared with her brother. She held recurring roles on Brotherhood, Boardwalk Empire, Shameless, Strange Angel, Snowpiercer, and Why Women Kill, and starred in the 2017 crime drama Those Who Kill. Guest appearances include Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NYPD Blue, The King of Queens, My Name Is Earl, Monk, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Hart of Dixie, Masters of Sex, and Grey's Anatomy.
