Kelly Connell is an American actor born on June 9, 1956, in Seneca Falls, New York. He attended Cayuga Community College and has worked across stage, film, and television throughout his career.
Connell's professional career began in 1982 with the stage play The Butter and Egg Man. His theatrical work expanded to include productions such as Love Labour's Lost, Neon Psalms, and Caligula, as well as The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, which brought him to Broadway in 1987.
On television, Connell became widely recognized for his role as Dr. Carter Pike in the ABC family drama series Picket Fences, which ran from 1992 to 1996. Following the conclusion of that series, he contributed a voice performance to the Nickelodeon animated series Aaahh!!! Real Monsters. In 1998, he portrayed Ulysses S. Grant in the UPN miniseries The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer. His television appearances also include The Practice, Wings, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Murphy Brown, Chicago Hope, Night Court, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Connell's film work includes Cocktail, Longtime Companion, Hot Shots!, Hot Shots! Part Deux, Thirteen Days, and Jack the Bear.
