About
Kelli Barrett is an American actress and singer originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, whose Broadway career spanned from 2003 to 2026. Raised by a single mother, Barrett developed an early interest in performing after seeing Merrily We Roll Along on stage as a child. Her mother noted that Barrett sang constantly and predicted she would become either a lawyer or an actress due to her love of arguing. She pursued formal training at the Governor's School for the Arts before continuing her education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
On Broadway, Barrett took on leading roles in Beaches, A New Musical and Doctor Zhivago, and also appeared in Wicked, the play A Royal Family, and Gettin' The Band Back Together. Her stage work extended across more than two decades of Broadway productions.
Beyond the stage, Barrett built a television career that included recurring roles on As the World Turns, Chicago Fire, and I Just Want My Pants Back. She made additional appearances on The Good Wife, Person of Interest, Ugly Betty, and Blue Bloods. She joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe portraying Maria Castle in Marvel's The Punisher.
In her personal life, Barrett married actor Jarrod Spector on October 26, 2014.
