Kathleen Rowe McAllen

Kathleen Rowe McAllen, born Kathleen Bridget Rowe on November 30, 1958, in San Mateo County, California, is an American actress whose career has spanned stage musicals, television soap operas, and film. Before pursuing acting, she studied as a pre-med major at UC Berkeley and UCLA.

McAllen's Broadway career ran from 1982 to 1990 and included productions of The Human Comedy, Into the Woods, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Her most celebrated stage role came in 1990, when she played Giulietta Trapani in Aspects of Love. That performance earned her both a Theatre World Award and a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Her stage work also extended to Off-Broadway productions, including Merrily We Roll Along, A Little Night Music, and On Your Toes. In 1997, she took on the role of Dulcinea in Man of La Mancha and Mary Bailey in A Wonderful Life.

McAllen reprised the role of Giulietta Trapani in a 1993 television film adaptation of Aspects of Love. Her television work also included appearances on the soap operas As the World Turns from 1981 to 1982, Loving in 1985, and All My Children in 1988. Her only theatrical film credit is the 1981 low-budget horror film Fear No Evil, in which she played the role of Gabrielle/Julie.
