Kate Jennings Grant is an American actress born on March 23, 1970, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She trained at the Juilliard School and the University of Pennsylvania, and her Broadway career spans from 1996 to 2025.

Grant's stage work began shortly after completing her training at Juilliard, when she joined the 1996 U.S. tour of the musical Applause, playing Eve alongside Stefanie Powers. Her Off-Broadway credits accumulated steadily through the late 1990s and 2000s, encompassing productions including Wonderland in 1999, Hard Feelings in 2000, Summer of '42 in 2001, Radiant Baby and The Beard of Avon in 2003, Between Us in 2004, and Christopher Durang's The Marriage of Bette and Boo in 2008.

On Broadway, Grant took over the role of Quincy Quince in An American Daughter and played Claire in Proof, the latter running from July 2, 2002 through January 5, 2003, both as replacement engagements. She starred as Sarah Brown in the 2009 Broadway production of Guys and Dolls, and subsequently appeared in The Lyons in 2012, The Country House in 2014, and Noises Off, which officially opened in January 2016.

Grant's film work includes a debut in the 1998 romantic comedy The Object of My Affection, followed by supporting roles in Kinsey and When a Stranger Calls. She portrayed Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas in the 2006 biographical drama United 93 and appeared as Diane Sawyer in the 2008 historical drama Frost/Nixon. Additional film credits include The Rebound in 2009, Love & Other Drugs in 2010, and Custody in 2016.

Her television work includes guest appearances on Sex and the City, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Damages, and Supernatural, among other programs. She held recurring roles on the ABC political drama Commander in Chief and the Amazon political satire Alpha House. In 2016, Grant was cast in her first series regular role, playing Louise Herrick, the host of a news program, on the ABC drama Notorious.
