Karine Plantadit is a French-born dancer and performer whose Broadway career spanned from 1997 to 2013. Born on January 15, 1970, she grew up in Cameroon before relocating to Cannes at the age of 14 to pursue formal dance training. She later moved to New York City to study with the Alvin Ailey organization.
Plantadit's Broadway credits include Movin' Out, After Midnight, Saturday Night Fever, The Lion King, and the play A Saturday Night. She also appeared in Frida, in which she portrayed Josephine Baker, and starred in the play Fly Away Home.
Her performance in Come Fly Away earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2010, in which she played the role of Kate.
