About
Karen Jensen is an American actress born in San Francisco, the daughter of Charles and Claire Jensen. She earned the Miss San Carlos title at a younger age than any previous winner of that pageant, and went on to compete in additional pageants before transitioning into modeling. Her work as a model included appearing in billboard advertising for Granny Goose Potato Chips. A talent scout from the William Morris Agency noticed Jensen during the Miss California pageant, and following a successful screen test she signed a contract with Warner Bros.
Jensen made her Broadway appearance in 1961 in the musical Carnival!, establishing her stage credentials early in her career. Her television debut followed in 1965 with a role in the situation comedy Wendy and Me, and she appeared in additional television productions before departing Warner Bros. for Universal. Her feature film debut came in Out of Sight in 1966.
In her personal life, Jensen was first married to actor John Neilson. Following their divorce, she married actor Michael Stroka in 1990. After Stroka's death, she married actor Brendon Boone.
