About

Justin Blanchard is an American actor whose work spans Broadway, television, film, theatre, and radio. A member of both SAG-AFTRA and the Actors' Equity Association, he grew up in San Antonio, Texas and is based in Los Angeles, California.

Blanchard attended Texas Military Institute, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served as a Company Commander in the school's Corps of Cadets. He went on to earn a BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where his training included the CAP21 musical theater program, the Experimental Theatre Wing, and the Stonestreet Film and Television Studio. He later received an MFA in Acting from Brown University.

His Broadway debut came in 2007 in Journey's End, in which he played 2nd Lieutenant Hibbert. The production marked a notable personal milestone as well: it was the first audition Blanchard had ever attended in New York City. He has performed professionally for more than 20 years across a range of mediums.

On stage, Blanchard has taken on several classical roles, including Hamlet and Henry V for New York Classical Theatre Off-Broadway, King of Navarre in Love's Labour's Lost for Commonwealth Shakespeare Company at Boston Common, and Iachimo in Fiasco Theater's production of Cymbeline. His television credits include a guest star appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, recurring soap opera roles on All My Children, Guiding Light, and One Life to Live, and a co-starring role in the PBS special The Mystery of Matter: Marie Curie. He has also appeared in commercials for Oscar De La Renta and the MTV Safe Sex campaign.

In film, Blanchard has co-starred in The Middleman, directed by Heath Cullens, Over There, directed by Mark Parees, and Alyssa & Sara, directed by Josh Wick. His voice work includes audiobook recordings of Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream, a podcast adaptation of a play by J.M. Barrie, and contributions to video games and commercials.
