Juan Chioran is a Canadian actor born on June 18, 1963, in Albert, Argentina. He made his Broadway debut in 1994 in Kiss of the Spider Woman and has since built an extensive career across stage, screen, and voice acting.

Chioran has maintained a long association with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario, accumulating appearances across 18 seasons in productions spanning Shakespeare, comedy, musicals, and Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Among his earliest recorded performances at the Festival were the role of a Servant in The Taming of the Shrew (1988) and the Spanish Merchant in The Comedy of Errors, both of which were filmed for television by CBC Television producer Norman Campbell and released as television movies directed by Richard Monette.

On screen, Chioran's early work included a 1993 appearance on the Canadian crime series Counterstrike, in which he portrayed Nicky, an art forger entangled in a murder committed by his patron. He went on to play Laurie in the theatrical film The Perfect Son (2000), the same year he won a Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Performing Arts Program or Series for his portrayal of Count Dracula in the televised production Dracula: A Chamber Musical. His television credits include Dr. Christian Vezza, the corrupt personal physician to the character Dale the Whale, in the 2002 Monk episode "Mr. Monk Meets Dale the Whale," and Francobollo Garibaldi, the father of Raven-Symoné's character, in the Disney Channel film The Cheetah Girls (2003). In 2024, he appeared in Mother Father Sister Brother Frank as the character Frank.

Chioran received a 2007 Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for his work in The Three Musketeers at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

His voice acting career has been equally prolific. He voiced Lance Boil on Grossology from 2006 to 2009, King Caradoc in Jane and the Dragon (2006), Barry Bullevardo in Iggy Arbuckle (2007), and Doji in the first 31 episodes of Beyblade: Metal Fusion. Additional voice roles include Snow Miser in A Miser Brothers' Christmas (2008), Nero the Animal Hero in Cyberchase (2010), Raimundo the Ringmaster in PAW Patrol (2013), Art Wurst in Detentionaire (2014), and Venomous Drool in Fangbone! in 2014 and 2016. Since 2020, he has voiced Señor Tapir, a Mexican-born musical tapir, in the animated series Elinor Wonders Why.
