About
Jordan Donica is an American actor and singer born on April 18, 1994, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He began performing at age six, and at age eight, after attending a touring production of The Phantom of the Opera, he committed to pursuing a career in musical theatre. Donica went on to study at Otterbein University, where he earned a BFA in musical theater, graduating cum laude. His university production credits include Les Misérables, Dames at Sea, How to Succeed in Business, and Into the Woods.
Donica made his Broadway debut in 2016 playing Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny in The Phantom of the Opera, a role he reprised in the summer of 2022 during the absence of John Riddle. Between those two stints, he took on the dual roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the first national tour of Hamilton, including its Los Angeles and San Francisco engagements. He returned to Broadway in 2018 as Freddy Eynsford-Hill in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of My Fair Lady, a production that received a Tony Award nomination.
Donica's association with Lincoln Center Theater extended further when he portrayed Sir Lancelot in a 2019 gala production of Camelot alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and Solea Pfeiffer. He reprised the role in the 2023 Broadway revival of Camelot opposite Phillipa Soo and Andrew Burnap, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. In May 2022, he appeared as Rapunzel's Prince in the New York City Center Encores! production of Into the Woods, sharing the stage with Sara Bareilles, Heather Headley, Neil Patrick Harris, Gavin Creel, and Denée Benton.
Beyond Broadway, Donica performed as Inspector Javert in The Muny's 2024 production of Les Misérables. In February 2025, he starred as Gleb in a concert staging of Anastasia at Lincoln Center. On June 10, 2025, he joined the closing cast of Jamie Lloyd's Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard as Max von Mayerling, replacing David Thaxton opposite Nicole Scherzinger, and remained with the production through its closing on July 20. In the fall of 2025, he appeared in Arena Stage's production of Damn Yankees, and he is set to star in New York City Center's Encores! staging of The Wild Party in March 2026.
On television, Donica joined the main cast of the CW series Charmed for its second season, appearing from 2019 to 2022, and guest starred in an episode of Blue Bloods. He was cast to make his West End debut in The Phantom of the Opera in 2024 but instead joined the cast of HBO Max's The Gilded Age in 2025. In addition to his stage and television work, Donica has performed at the Washington National Opera gala at the Kennedy Center and with both the Pasadena Symphony and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
