Jordan Alexander is a Canadian actress and singer born on July 23, 1993, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Of German, Irish, and mixed African-American descent, she relocated to Toronto, Ontario at the age of 12, where she was raised alongside an older sister named Sydney and a younger sister. She currently resides in Brooklyn.
Alexander began her musical career in 2016 with the release of her debut album, The Lonely Hearts Club. Her profile in the Toronto music scene grew through live performances, including an opening set for singer Kehlani at Toronto Pride in 2018 and a collaborative Pride performance with singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen in 2019. Also in 2018, she signed with a Toronto-based modeling agency. In 2020, she released the single "You." Her second album, Now You're Caught Up, arrived on September 4, 2024, executive produced by Haviah Mighty. Alexander has stated that she wrote, produced, and recorded the album during the production of Gossip Girl.
Her screen career gained early traction when she played Elsie/Maya in the second season of the Facebook Watch series Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones in 2020. The following year, she landed the lead role of Julien Calloway in the HBO Max revival of Gossip Girl, a position she held from 2021 to 2023.
Alexander's Broadway career includes an appearance in The Prom in 2021. In 2022, she was named a brand ambassador for Savage x Fenty. Alexander is openly queer.
