Jonathan Hogan is an American stage and television actor born on June 13, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, whose Broadway career spanned from 1976 to 1991.

Hogan began his New York stage career off-Broadway with the Circle Repertory Company, where his first production was The Hot l Baltimore. He continued with the company through several additional productions, including Fifth of July, for which he composed the incidental music, and Balm in Gilead, the latter earning him a shared Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Acting. His work with Circle Repertory also included As Is and Burn This, both of which transferred to Broadway.

His Broadway run encompassed productions including The Homecoming, Taking Steps, Comedians, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, Burn This, and As Is. His performance in As Is brought him significant recognition, earning him both a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Play in 1985 and a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play in 2015.

Hogan also built a substantial television career, with recurring roles on the daytime soap operas The Doctors, Ryan's Hope, As the World Turns, and One Life to Live. His primetime credits include appearances on L.A. Law, Quantum Leap, House of Cards, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and the original Law & Order, on which he appeared as a guest star on four separate occasions.
