Jonathan Burn is a British actor born on 28 November 1939 in London, England. His mother was of Austrian Jewish heritage and his father of Italian Jewish heritage; both had come to London as refugees and married the year before Burn's birth. He lost many relatives to concentration camps.

Burn trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama between 1958 and 1961. Following his training, he worked with provincial repertory companies before appearing at the Mermaid Theatre in productions of Androcles and the Lion and The Shewing Up of Blanko Posnet. His stage work also included This Story of Yours by John Hopkins, Hank's Night by Paul Ableman at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, and My Fat Friend at the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg.

In 1965, Burn made his Broadway appearance in The Persecution and Assassination of Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade. His film credits include The Party's Over (1965), Eyewitness (1970), and Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971). On British television, he appeared in series including The Forsyte Saga, The Avengers, Crossroads, and Doctor Who. His final screen credit came in 2003 with the drama miniseries Cambridge Spies.
